Put OKL on your Home Screen

You can put an OKL icon on your phone or tablet’s Home Screen, next to your other apps. Then OKL is always one tap away — no typing, no searching.

How to watch on your TV

You can send a video from your phone, tablet or computer to your TV. Your TV and your device need to be on the same Wi-Fi. Pick the device you are holding:

iPhone or iPad

Uses AirPlay — Apple's way of sending video to a TV. Works with Apple TV and smart TVs that support AirPlay, such as many Roku TVs.

  1. Open the video on OKL and start playing it.
  2. Tap the video once to show the controls.
  3. Tap the AirPlay button — a screen with a triangle at the bottom.
  4. Tap the name of the device you want to watch on. It may say Roku, Apple TV, or the name of your television or streaming device.
  5. The video plays on your TV. You can use your TV or streaming device remote for normal playback controls, or keep using your iPhone or iPad.

Android phone or tablet

Uses Chromecast, also called Google Cast. Works with TVs that have Chromecast built in, Google TV, or a Chromecast plugged into the TV.

  1. Open the video on OKL in Chrome and start playing it.
  2. Tap the video once to show the controls.
  3. Tap the Cast button — a screen with curved lines in the corner.
  4. Choose your TV from the list.

Chrome on a computer

Also uses Chromecast, with the same kinds of TV.

  1. Open the video on OKL in the Chrome browser and start playing it.
  2. Click the Cast button in the video’s controls.
  3. Choose your TV from the list.
  4. If you don’t see the Cast button, open Chrome’s menu (the three dots at the top right) and choose Cast.

I don’t see my TV

  • Make sure the TV is turned on.
  • Check that the TV and your device are on the same Wi-Fi — not a guest network, and not mobile data.
  • Check the TV supports what you are using: AirPlay for iPhone and iPad, Chromecast for Android and Chrome.
  • Turn the TV off and on again, then try once more.

The cast option isn’t showing

  • Start playing the video first, then tap it once to show the controls.
  • The AirPlay and Cast buttons may stay hidden until your device finds a TV it can use on the same Wi-Fi. Work through “I don’t see my TV” above.
  • On Android or a computer, use the Chrome browser.

Finding your way around

  • Home shows our videos, newest first. You can switch to oldest first, or open Playlists.
  • Collections gathers our series and playlists. Choose one to see its videos.
  • Account is where you sign in. Once you are signed in, it shows your membership and Legal & Support.
  • On a phone, Home, Collections, Account and this page are the buttons along the bottom of the screen.
